The grand opening of Hamilton’s newest and coolest vintage clothing shop isn’t until next weekend and already I’ve made the pilgrimage there from Burlington three times. What’s the draw? For me, it’s the clothes (the collection is carefully culled and curated), but it doesn’t hurt that the shop is airy, boutique-like, and features a generous fitting room/lounge and linger area.
Owners Nick and Connie Bulajic are knowledgeable and friendly. Their dedication to quality and condition is evident in each trendy treasure that’s offered up for sale. The pieces are totally wearable with the occasional sartorial surprise to delight the serious collector.
From sweet sweaters to a smattering of spectacular ’50s and ’60s wedding gowns to some iconic ’70s maxi skirts, hot pants and beyond, Vintage Soul Geek is worth the visit.
There are three ways to shop their trendy treasures: visit their Etsy shop, find them at the major vintage clothing shows, or check out their boutique at 279 King Street East in Hamilton. I hope to see you at the grand opening, April 25th from 10 to 10.
